I have been writing fiction and poetry for as long as I can remember and began writing and posting my work online when I was in seventh grade. Now, many years later- I'm a college graduate with her degree in English Education. One day I hope to teach middle school English but in the meantime, I'm lending my services here. I often beta for fanfiction writers and friends and frequently edit the work of others when I'm at school. Although spelling and grammar are my primary focuses- content, characterization, voice, and style are also extremely important. I am happy to work with writers of all levels at any stage of the writing process, be it brainstorming or revising a finished piece.

My strengths lie in forming a cohesive piece of writing with strong voice that flows well. I focus not only on the words used, but how they are used in the context of the writing. I am also quite good with characterizations and love bouncing ideas around.

Spelling is not the strongest aspect of my betareading, though I have been taking measures to improve myself in that area. Occasionally, I can go a bit "comma happy" and every once and a while I'm told that I'm too wordy. However, these are mostly style preferences. When reading for someone else, I make a conscious effort to adjust myself to their style and help the author perfect their own voice.

I prefer fiction over poetry, but I'm game for anything. =)

Nope. I'm quite comfortable with the "norm" but I love reading new things. The crazier, the better!
