I'm trying to become a writer and have found that critiquing other people's works help to improve the way I view my own. I don't really want anything back (not sure what it means by "expectations of anyone that wishes to acquire your services" ... it makes it sound like I'm signing up to pimp out my mad reading skillz)... some nice friendly messages back and forth and a general interest in each other's writing would be nice, but I'll read it anyway... I'm kind of sarcastic and exaggerate..ful... oh and I make up words (nice).

I'm in college, minoring in writing, so probably have more maturity (ha!) and experience than most on fictionpress... I focus on the content of a story - character development, believable scenarios, originality. I aim for achieving art in a story and probably hold to a high standard and would give it an incredibly critical eye. I won't tell you it's great just to boost your ego - if you want that, there are thousands of review beggars dying for your attention.

I'm slow because I'm busy. I require patience, but when I get to it, it will be thorough and (I hope) helpful. Don't give up hope! I kind of ignore grammar, since I thinkn there are plenty of betas who do enough of that. Also... sometimes I'm a little too harsh. (In 8th grade I made my best friend cry while peer-editting her paper. She won't let me read her stuff anymore.)

I will take absolutely anything with an open mind except for the stuff mentioned below.

Absolute trashy stuff such as stories about vampire high schools, ripoffs from anime/manga, stuff that should honestly be on a fanfiction site, and anything that takes song lyrics and uses them as the basis for their story. Also, I'm sorry, but things written in "play" format, with only dialogue and some queue lines written - I can't handle that. It bugs me a lot.
