At the moment, I’m trying to be published and that is my number one goal, so that is how I look at each story that comes my way. I do have several stories on the site and you can read them to get a feel for my style. If you chose to use me as a beta, expect me to be fair and through. I go through everything with a fine toothcomb and some people may not like that. I will tell you if I like the story or not, but I won’t be mean or harsh. If you don’t want that, then don’t ask me to beta. Part of writing is having people tell you what they think. I’ll ask many questions if I don’t understand something. If for any reason you don’t like what I have to say, let me know. There won’t be any hard feelings. Some people don’t mesh and that is fine. No point in working with someone you don’t like.
I love to read and I feel that is shows in my stories and in my betaing. I give praise, but i also point out flaws. I don't you can grow as a writer if you don't have someone willing to tell you the truth. I'm not a fast beta, since i like to take my time and edit whatever comes across my path, but i do try to get things done in a timely fashion. I want you to know that I took the time to read what you put your heart and soul into.

My strengths are spelling, grammar and sentence structure. I’m also good and pointing out character flaws, plot holes and inconsistencies within the story line. My best strength is that I don't take it personal. If you don't like what I have to say, you don't have to use it. No feelings hurt.

Weaknesses are that I often procrastinate, can be too focused on the details to notice the bigger picture and sometimes have a tendency to forget that it’s not my story. Meaning, if the sentence or the action or whatever I’m betaing doesn’t flow right, I will rewrite in my style.

I like romances, since I read them all the time and I write them. Also, like some angst, as long as there's a happy ending. So, in short, if there's a happy ending and the hero and heroine get together and it's mostly romance or some element of romance, then I’m there.

I don't like a lot of violence if there's no reason. No ick factor either. I know fictionpress doesn’t allow it, but I don’t like S&M or anything of that nature. I’m not too good at sci-fi or fantasy. I would read them and check for grammar, but anything other than that, I’m not the person. Anything else, I’ll let you know at the time.
