Hello, everyone. I have been a FictionPress.com member since I was 14 years old. I haven't been very active on the site over the past few years, since I was doing secretarial work and going to college full-time. I was recently laid off due to budget cuts, and I also recently graduated with my B.A. in Literature with a Creative Writing track. My courses involved writing, editing, and workshopping thousands of pages of fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and scholarly work. My specialty was fiction. I also served as Fiction Editor, Editor in Chief, and Assistant Editor of my colleges' (I went to two) literary magazines over the years. I have more time on my hands now than I ever had in my life, and I've decided to use some of it to help some emerging writers polish their work. I can edit for everything from basic spelling and grammar, to overall structure and flow. Let me know if you have any specific requests.

My specialty is short fiction, usually around 20 pages, but I'm willing to take on other challenges.

I don't have much experience editing longer works of fiction, such as novels, but I have written them in the past, and I would be willing to try.

I prefer reading edgy, character-driven stories, written by authors who aren't afraid to write dialogue uncensored and realistically. I like stories with light supernatural elements, which don't fit snugly into any one genre.

I'd prefer not to read fiction that's cencored to keep the rating down, but I'm open to trying. Also, although I will read Sci-fi/Fantasy, it bothers me when a story is so far from our reality that I have trouble suspending my disbelief until the end. It's very difficult to write Sci-fi well. I know. Just browse all the shitty, teenaged sci-fi on my account from years ago.
