Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta reader of fiction I focus very heavily on the flow and construction of sentences, quality of description and grammatical and mechanical errors in the work. As a beta reader of poetry, I focus on the general flow of the poem, quality of rhyme or lack thereof, and other areas specific to certain types of poetry. I am a very tough beta reader; I am not trying to make you feel good about yourself. I want you to be the best writer you can possibly be, and I don't mind being honest with you if what you have written doesn't make the cut. I will never insult you, but I pull no punches. |

I admit that I am not terribly fond of free verse poetry, and as such I am generally harder on writers of that craft. I am able to realize quality in this sort of poetry, though, so don't be afraid to submit that type to me. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I enjoy stories about Greek mythology, but really I will enjoy anything put in front of me. I expect to receive any and every type of fiction and poetry, and gladly. |

As previously mentioned, I am not fond of free verse, but will deal with it if it is quality work. |
