Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm used to being given stories or papers to correct for any mechanical errors, and I'm fairly good at picking them out. I've always been sort of a nag about proper grammar, punctuation and spelling, as I believe that if you don't know those rules, you can't purposely break them. I have some sort of life outside of sitting in front of the computer, so if you have a deadline, please let me know and I will see what I can do. Just be patient, please, and that's all I really ask. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm fairly good at grammar, punctuation and spelling. It is more of the mechanics of a piece that I can better correct for others rather than the actual content of things. Occasionally, I will also re-arrange sentences to make them flow better. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Paragraphs and placements of subjects do sometimes kind of get muddled with me, but if something sticks out like a sore thumb, I'll see it. I'm not as good with content. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I honestly really don't care what type of story it is, but I do have some preferred genres but I really don't mind reading other things. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
There isn't really any type of story I wouldn't betaread that I can think of yet. So have at it. |
