Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a postgraduate studying 'Creative Writing' and have current and previous experience in beta-reading. I have been writing stories for seven years, have been published in a few small publications during that time and have a passionate love for originality. I am British, and therefore you will receive British English spellings instead of American English spellings: this is something you can easily correct for yourself if it is a 'problem'.
I expect the writers who have requested my services to have put forward effort and some degree of intelligence: I will not beta any story that looks as if it was typed out in ten minutes, completely unedited by the author and with no coherent reason for the story whatsoever (e.g. Characters run around screaming at each other uncharacteristically while idiotic things ensue 'for the lulz'). |

I will be pedantic about everything: very few details will escape my eye and you will get a full review of everything to agree with or toss aside as you please. |

I will be pedantic about everything: from spelling to sentence structure to lack of plot and unrealistic characterisations. If you think that this will drive you mad, or are a new writer and still a little touchy about your beloved 'masterpieces' (as I once was), do not apply. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Anything that isn't real-world based: I have the most experience with Sci-fi and Fantasy, but enjoy anything that is original with thought and effort put into it.
I would not like: Spiritual, Western, Romance, Mythology, Historical and Essay. |

I do not read or edit the following: AU based-on-reality stories, Yaoi/Yuri, gratuitous use of violence for no obvious reason (GUVNOR ;P). |
