Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a student looking to beta read different poetic styles, and learn more through the process. I love expanding on things, and interpreting. I'm honest and probably a bit too opinionated, but not offended if you ignore me completely.
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Poetic techniques (imagery & meter esp.), grammar, punctuation, spelling (UK), format
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Inventing words to suit my own purposes, diary-style way of commenting, not writing in complete sentences, can miss the point fairly often..
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
"free-verse," interesting rhyming schemes, medium length (100-400 words?), crazy formatting, word-play, alliteration, strange titles, fast-flowing poetry, feminist/religion-based stuff is fun, introspective work
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Really forced rhymes, poems that totally ignore the rules of punctuation for no particular reason (if it's deliberate then fair enough but it bugs me if it's laziness hah, or worse, if it's over the top), any poems with *actions* in them, IE: "*gasp*", predictable poetry
