Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a writer myself and am currently seeking my bachelor’s degree in English. I want to be an editor for a book publishing company, hence my willingness to be a beta-reader. I want not only the practice but the chance and the challenge to help someone in need of an extra set of eyes to find mistakes. I have written several poems, fan-fictions, and short stories, some which are not published, and would be happy to direct anyone to "Tolling Bells" for an example of my work(both for editing and creativity :D ) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am good at rewording sentences and I often read works out loud to correct them. I have spell check and a printer to edit by hand(my favorite). If you want to see the corrections ask me and I will put the corrections in red. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Professional grammar corrections is an area I am weak. I don't mean run-on sentences or punctuation but if you made a grammatical error such as comma splicing, I may miss it. No one is perfect :D |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would love to edit any kind of stories or poems. Especially fiction but will help with anything. |
