Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Not really sure what to put here, but I'll do my best. I love to read other people's works, and in turn I love people to read mine. Usually I'll have to read a piece a few times before I can give good advice, corrections, or anything else. I am a grammar freak. So very few grammar mistakes or spelling mistakes escape my notice. I think, and I have also been told, that I have a very good eye for character development. So underdeveloped characters will quickly catch my eye. If it's a historical novel, it'll be a piece of cake. I know a lot about history, so I'll be able to spot timeline mistakes (if you want to be historically accurate). I'm not perfect, so I may miss a few things, but that's why we edit, and re-edit and so on and so forth. I'll leave a note of what I thought of the chapter/piece when I edit. Beware, I am brutally honest. I will tell you what I think and I will not leave anything out. Hmm...not sure what else to write. But if you think something's missing, let me know. I'll probably write a better bio later. |

My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
As a writer, I tend to get down to the action a little to quick. But as a betareader, I'm not sure what my weaknesses are. I suppose I'll find out as I go. I'm sure there are some, and as I find them I will put them here. |
