Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Well, you may refer to me as Mstr. Nimit, Mstr. Dave, or as my alias: Ephraim.
I am seventeen years old, yet do not let that age fool you. I can speak with the oldest of people, without the slightest flinch of disposition or stagnancy. I am a very static person, meaning I do not enjoy change very much; however, through the years, I have undergone several changes in personality, writing style, and thus have many assets with which you may find to be at your disposal.
Do not expect me to be nice. If you wish for a "nice" Beta Reader that will compliment your work, please do not choose me... for I will not be nice, for there is very few writing that I compliment through its aesthetic fervor or genius. I am probably the only person of my age-group that, hence, likes Heart of Darkness, though it is sad to say.
For writing, you may ask me what you wish, with which I definitely will have an answer. Please do not be an elitist by which you simply contradict what I say. You are free to argue, but remember that maybe I am right... just maybe.
Nevertheless, with my help, your books will be the best they can be... and I shall make sure of that if you have any writing talent whatsoever.
If you know grammar, we shall get along very well.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I am not God. Do not expect me to be God. In addition, I am a very different beta reader than most, probably. I have, most likely, the most experience in writing than anyone else on this site (that, is what you call a hyperbole of the utmost accord, children xD.) However, I also am just in my rulings.
I excel at grammar, style, and detail/diction. Meaning shall be kept to your discretion, though I can help with that as well.
Structure and flow is something I can help you with as well; however, I do not like inhibiting a writer's style, and flow/structure is characteristic of every writer, and always varies. Therefore, it is something I stay away from. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Hmm... sometimes cliches are an issue. However, these rare occasions have been fairly disposed of on my part, hopefully. I know cliches, and thus I avoid them. I can help you avoid them as well. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I am a reader and writer of fantasy. However, I can read anything, and if you truly wish for me to critique your writings (by which I would be quite flattered), do not hesitate to send me a message. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Hmm... what I would not like is quite tough to say. I am not one for fables, for they are meant to be quite juvenile by definition. Writing for me shall be a voyage by which intelligence is projected, taught, and learned. Though fables teach this, they are overly blatant in their ways, and thus are not quite my style of subtlety.
Still do not shy away because of this little fact.... |
