I am an Indian-born, American-educated high-school student, and I am pretty good in finding out incorrect grammar/punctuation, though I do not stress on it overmuch, as I find that writing without bothering about commas and periods, just writing out your stream of thought as it flows from your mind will make you more original, more imaginative when penning down your ideas.

I have a deep, abiding love for the Fantasy genre, and have a budding relationship with Science Fiction (after reading Asimov's Foundation trilogy and Card's Ender's Game). I prefer reading Fantasy stories written and structured like Eragon, one of the best books in the universe, in my opinion. I love romance in any story, have no problem with hard-core, unneccessary romance/sex. I love excessive violence and descriptions when dealing with battles or wars, I feel it makes it all the more realistic.

I love stories that take on a realistic view, not a romantic one. I love a writer who is not afraid to talk about the 'bad' aspects of life, the sweat, blood, labor, things like that. I love word choice when it is fitting.

I prefer short stories, as I have attention span issues, but I have absolutely no grudge about reading a particularly long story, if it's engrossing enough. So here I am. Reading short stories, or interesting ones that catch my attention. Below is a list of this that I find appealing.
1) Romance (as I have iterated)
2) Good character names, though it's ok if you don't have them
3) A well engaging plotline
4) A story with a moral lesson, or psychological implications or lessons
5) An underlying idea that is new and original
6) A sense of friendship (though loneliness also fits equally well) and fun!

Well, as I have said, I have attention span problems. I'm kinda hyperactive, so don't blame me if I skip some passages and lose out on some valuable/critical information and then ask about it in a review. I tend to do stupid things like that, but I also offer some pretty unique insights to help you improve on your story.

Well-paced stories involving romance/sex. Cool things, like Drizzt with two scimitars, new races (Urgals, techno-men), all that. Anything with a well-characterized lead hero/heroine.

Retarded theories or passages, or slang, or unacceptable use of vocabulury (learn your stuff before writing)
