Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I have beta-read for a lot of people in the past in a sort of random fashion. I don't even know how this exactly works, but I am very big on syntax, I suppose. If it sounds redundant or long-winded, I'll end up changing a lot of the sentence structure. I'm fairly quick in beta-reading. Normally, if you bother me on AIM or MSN (when I'm not at work), I can get a chapter done within the hour. If by email, maybe within the day unless I'm that busy with work or school.
I expect writers to try and keep grammar errors to a minimum so do not just rush though and send it to me without even looking it over. I'm here for what you DON'T catch. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I believe I am good at fixing syntax and diction so that a story flows better. Other than that, there is the obvious use of a beta: grammar. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
At times, I am very particular about syntax and go about changing it drastically. In other words, sometimes, I need someone to stop me before I go to far. (Hah) |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer slash more than anything. I usually don't mind what type of story it is as long as the story line is interesting. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I do not really like science fiction though there are some exceptions. |
