When I beta, not only do I look for grammar and spelling, but I point out sentences that don't seem to make sense to me. I don't go through and fix the mistakes, I point them out and mark them so you can fix them yourself. I believe a beta is there to help give nudges in the right direction, not pull the leash down the path.

I guess I'm a bit good in all the basic areas. I do like looking at the flow of the sentences, so probably that. I'm also good, but picky, when it comes to word choice.

Action scenes. I don't think I'm all that good at action scenes. So if you'd like me to Beta those, be prepared for some beating around the bush.
Romance scenes. If you want help on a scene that's all mushy, then I am NOT the one to choose. I can't write romance at all!

I definitely prefer stories over poems. With stories, I like to beta Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Action/Adventure, Thrillers, and maybe some horror and humor.

Romance. It's okay if it's included with action, but I don't like it as the main point.
General. Sorry, everyday problems about high school and such make me yawn a bit.
