Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
After looking at all the not-so-great work on Fictionpress in the time I've been registered, and now seeing this Beta service become available, I'm extremely enthusiastic about it. I love writing that makes me think, actually transfers a specific emotion into me (whether it be sadness, fear, or just laughs), and above all, looks like it's been revised.

I want people to come to me knowing that I'll give them every possible critique and nitpick just about everything -- but only for the greater good, of course. You could send me the worst poem ever written, and I'd still try to be as polite as possible!
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I'm a poetry freak, who's open to most weird stuff somebody could throw at me. I'm extremely nitpicky with word choice and how a sentence/line flows and sounds. I'm also a grammar, spelling and punctuation Nazi, especially if we're talking about fiction or essays. Also, I'm very big on having realistic dialogue.
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm not good with fixing ABCB-style sort of rhyming, and I might not be informed enough on your topic of essay as I'd like to be to review it.
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would prefer to betaread poetry, mainly freeform, although rhyming is perfectly fine. I enjoy working with rhythm, alliteration, etc. Also, I'm big on essay revision (especially after two years of Honors English).
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I'm not very fond of exclusively structured poetry such as haikus, limericks, sestinas, sonnets, etc. Also, nothing that you send to me with a comment like "this sucks" or "I think this is horrible!" Don't tell me that your writing is crap; I might just take your word for it and automatically assume that before reading.
