Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a relatively quick reader so I'm able to give you feedback within the same week you send me something. I'm offer constructive critique on style and flow, grammar and spelling, and structure. I also work with people in the start up phase and idea phase. I can give you just one set or all three (although if you ask for three it might take longer to give it back). I'm an honest person so your work is safe with me. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths as an editor include working on character development, creating settings, conversations, structure, flow and style. My strengths as a person are I don't judge other writers, if you think you want to write I'm willing to help you achieve that goal, if I can't help you get there then I'm willing to work with you to help you find someone who can. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I'm not the best grammar person on my own stuff, mainly cause I can't catch all the mistakes myself, but I take extra care to help you with yours. I might not catch it all but I'll do my best. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I would prefer romances, but I'll take science fiction and fantasy. I would prefer characters above the age of 18. I'm also okay with mature stories. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
teen angst based stories, stories that involved people under the age of 18 having sex, horror stories- I have to active of an imagination and if I'm gonna stay awake thinking about someone's story I would rather it not be in the forms of nightmares, 'kay thanks! |
