Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am an avid sci-fi and fantasy writer and enjoy reading the works of others. However, I require that any work submitted be completely originial. For fantasy, that means no elves or dwarves (unless it's a parody, which I'll gladly accept!) Get creative, people! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Time. I will almost always get back in touch with authors within the day they request me to beta read, unless something occurs or the story is of considerable length. I also know a lot about science and the way things work. This automatically makes me favor sci-fi, and I will gladly aid in the functioning of any gadget, gizmo, or starship you have in mind. I am also very hard when it comes to correct English. I eat bad grammar for breakfast. |

My weakness is my strength: I know a lot about science and the way things work. Sometimes when I read sci-fi, my inner Einstein and Newton scream at the computer screen. If I ever deliver a long and terrible speech about how something that happens in your story is completely arbitrary to the laws of physics, don't take it personally. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love sci-fi and fantasy. I like poetry as well. I honestly could care less for other forms of literature, so if you've got a sci-fi or fantasy story (without elves and dwarves) or poem that you want read, let me know. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I don't like tea in general...but don't send me angsty poems about how miserable your life is. I'm not a fan of romance, either. Make war, not love! |
