If you want me to beta read for you, please have some sort of ingenuity in your plot and/or characters. I really don't want to read the exact same story I've read by somebody else. Seriously.

I am a speedy reader, so if you need something done quickly or just looked over for a consensus, I generally am the gal to go to; of course, do keep in mind that I'm not quick enough to read over your 10,000+ story in a day. I have a life, too. :P

I can also be very honest if you want--but, of course, in a constructive way. I always find pros to balance out the cons.

Spelling and grammar; the latter is a bit weaker than the former, but I think I've got a nice, basic grasp of it. I'm good at finding small details you may have missed, or asking the question "Why?"
If something doesn't make sense to me, I'll tell you.
Character development is also a strength of mine, so if you need help moving that along, uh, yeah. I'll help. :D

I have a tendency to get ahead of my self; I jump around and sometimes my comments don't always make sense. Also, if your story bores me, I'll probably put it aside for a while (back to the whole cliche thing).

Mostly though, the biggest problem is my own personal opinions getting in the way of what you have planned--be ready to defend your reasonings or points.

Stories with big character development are my favorite. Romance (I'm a huge sap) is also a main preference. Humor is awesome, as well. Realistic stories mostly, with characters or maybe plot lines (at least on some level) I can relate to.

I'm not the biggest fan of supernatural or fantasy because it's too easy to get lost in the setting and ignore the characters. Same goes for super angsty/overly dramatic pieces.
