Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I try to make stories as legible and educated as possible. I want words to be used right, words spelled correctly, and just about anything else that makes a story a story. I get very picky at times, and yes, I will tell you everything that is right and wrong with your work. If it doesn't make sense, I'll make it make sense. Anything special you want me to do, I'll do. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I can make a dull story colorful, and make sure words and punctuations are used right. I can basically do a lot of stuff with a story. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I either use a spell-check to fix grammatical mistakes or quickly proof-read work, and if spell-check doesn't catch a mistake, or I don't, then there will probably still be errors. But that doesn't happen all the time, and that's about my only problem. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Every story needs a giggle spot - if it's funny, I'll look over it for you. I also appreciate a good romance/angst every now and then. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Religious works. Westerns. Overly-romantic stories or poems. Sci-Fi. etc, etc. |
