It's all about the style for me. I like to concentrate on the originality of the text, what makes it stand out from the millions of other works out there. I like to see something that has that edge-something that I can call "art." That's really what I'm after, I guess.
I expect only what any reader, any editor, any publisher wants: Something that the author put themselves into. Generic works, like many of the texts on this site, (as well as the rest of the world) I'll ignore. You be the one to decide what's generic and what's not. I'll do the best I can in providing you with tips and reviews that will aid in your advancement as an author.

I look for style, and I've got reading between the lines nearly down to a profession. I look at fiction as an art form.

If it's grammatical errors you're looking to be fixed, my expertise only goes so far. I'm sorry friends, if you're looking for SpellCheck.

I prefer stories that don't really fall into a genre. I like to sit back and say, "You've really outdid yourself. You've blurred lines that nobody has thought to before." Then again, some genre's really get me off. Pulp fiction, stream of conciousness, anything new and beautiful is my kind of read.

Anything that starts out, "...the cuts are to hide my bruises..." or, "SLASH! Don't read if you're not super into GAY SEX!!!!" I don't like stories that sound exactly like every other story out there. Give me art, or give me... money or something, I don't know.
