Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I love reading, and I'm willing to look at almost anything. If you need someone to look over your work and give you what I think are the good bits and the bits that could use work, I'd love to do so. I do, however, expect that you have attempted to make it grammatically correct. No one's perfect, I know, and if you read my own works, you'll realize I've made my share of typos. However, I do at least hope you can capitalize names and the beginnings of sentences.
I'm not too harsh on anyone. I'm here to help, not to hurt. I'll give you some pointers, but not without telling you what was good. Don't be afraid to ask! |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Plot development and consistency, character development, ideas. Mostly all of the plot related things, and the details and fluency in the piece overall. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I do have my struggles with spelling and Grammar. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I prefer fiction stories, whether they be modern, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, etc. Dark poetry is another specialty. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
Historical fiction. I also don't really tend to like modern day high school "popularity" stories. Not really my thing. Other than that, I'll read just about anything. |
