Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
As a beta-reader, I'm willing to edit, revise, review, and give advice to those seeking it. If you are considering me as a beta reader for a story, you can expect me to keep a close eye on grammar and spelling, as well as sentence structure. One of the most important things for me to check for would be the use of the proper diction for the time period you're writing in. For example, if you're writing a historic fiction set in the late 1800's, you can expect me to help to keep your diction (use of words and such) constant. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My biggest strength would probably have to be grammar - I'm big on the use of proper grammar, and next comes spelling. If a word is spelled wrong, I'll probably catch it and fix it for you. Varied sentence structure is also something I excel at, and I'm also good at finding synonyms for words so you don't have to use the same words all of the time. Also, I love description, so I'm big on adjectives as well. |

One weakness of mine would be that at times, I don't like to be too terrible with my constructive criticism, but I try to find a way to get my ideas across nonetheless. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
Mostly I prefer to read romance, especially slash, vampire stories, anything set in high school, and those that involve a blinde/deaf person. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
My preference is romance, but I can try other areas as well. Contrary to the popular belief, I don't like reading stories en Français. |
