I read and reread each chapter carefully, making sure that characters and their descriptions match up throughout the stories as well as checking grammar and spelling. But, but! There's always a catch. I've never beta-read for someone before, so I really have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Of course, I've edited zillions of pieces before, but never via internet connection. So that's your caution. And if someone would like to take me 'under their wing' as a type of 'beta reader apprentice' so to speak (message me and tell me HOW I'm supposed to communicate with the writers) that would be the most brilliant thing in the world. My strengths are spelling and grammar (such as punctuation, word order, etc.) and checking character description match-ups.

My main weakness is possibly checking sentence structure. I can get by with how it sounds, but if you'd like someone who is an expert with how a sentence is made up, you might want to check elsewhere. I'm a freshman in high school, so you could say I have time, but finals are coming up and I'm in a hard school and I've taken on extra writing activities outside school, so my writing obligations there precede fictionpress (tear) but I promise to get back to anyone as quickly as humanly possible!

Hmm... romance, humor, maybe a little historical. Basically, take a peek at my stories and if they're similar, I'd be more than happy to beta.

Hmmm... the uber hard-core fantasy stuff (wizards, mages, vampires) while I like to read it, I'm not one to beta for content. I'd edit grammar and whatnot, but checking whether all the mythology makes sense, nu-uh. Also, super slashy? I don't do. I pop in for a refreshing slash every once and a while, but I'm not good for editing slash because it all gets too angsty for me. I don't do angst.
