My style is to talk to the writer and explain why I feel something works or doesn't. All I ask is the person have an open mind |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
story flow, characterizations, vocabulary, answering, 'does the story make sense?' |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Only slightly, grammar, I can get typos and the basic stuff, but sometime commas kick my butt, but it is not a serious weakness |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I love slash, and horror and weird things, but I am open to betaing just about anything. And I like working with younger writers, or ones that need help growing. Probably because I like feeling needed |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I will beta anything, but overly romanatic mushy, high school stories don't do it for me most of the time, and if it's an idea that has been over done, I tend to get bored really easy, and it makes me want to pull my hair out. |
