Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
If you would like to entrust me as your BETA with your story, then make sure that you've had really seriously written it, since I would pay less attention toward short, expressionless, lack of determination words. It says: 'Let the words flow' - so I hope you keep this in mind too.
I'm not a perfect person/Beta, but I'll try to be one.
I'll try not to disappoint you with the results, but please somehow don't increase my burdens with your messed-up story(ies). If you still aren't sure with the plot or some details for your story, don't expect me to back you up. I'm not the other author, but yes, I'll give you feedback(s) as well with everything you need from a Beta.
The point is, make sure that you've already more-than-a-half sure about your story(ies), ready to be Beta-ed, and ready to publish. So it's more than just a raw story without any kind of senses, emotions, and feelings within it.
From me? Once you have me, I'll try to give my best services, observe your story(ies) in details, analyze it and come out with some things that I can give to you to improve, correct your story(ies) |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Firstly, I'm good at reading while trying to imagine "What are you writing about", it works for how will your words flow, the smooth of your plot, the logic of your theme(s) and detailing, and somewhat observation for how should your story come out with.
I'm good at building and improving your plot, character and criticizing your lack of description and details, but I'll tell you, "I'm not the other 'author'", so, try not giving me 'Raw'.
Tenses and grammars are somehow the common things I do. I have my sight toward this so I'll try my best to check them all and make your story(ies) to be more rational.
**But once again, I'm just a human, so you know that I'm not 100% perfect- I may lose the 1%"** |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Vocabulary is really my second skill, I do believe that I have wide knowledge of words, but I'm not a poet and I don't quiet remember for everything written inside the dictionary. So, just let's see about this.
And please forgive me for my idiotic faults like; misspelling, I know it's so common mistake but I'll try to reduce it. Or when I slide over your paragraphs without pay attention for it(but it's really rare, almost never; just in case, people) |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I like Manga & Anime style (What does it mean?): (1)Japanese culture; characters, idioms, names, phrases, acts, etc. (2) A Simple theme but full of details with a great plot and great character's profiles(not a plain one, but one that can mix all of your emotions at once) : High school theme, Ninja (Shinobi). (3) Yaoi, Yuri, Straight, Bi is okay. Don't worry.
Others might be one that bring new perspective, complexities, and concept about some thing, great analysis toward every details written and a strong plot (as well for the entire story's aspect).
"Hope you can make me enjoying your whole story while betareading it." |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
War, kind of epic heroes like World War Theme is so not me, or too silly theme like what you read in some cartoon(s) or anime(s) for 5th grader or below are BIG NO.
Well, if I have too compile it then, I don't want to read something that I'm not even good at (if you use too much idioms that I'm not good at or culture(s) that I even never know what is it about, they're not gonna working). If you think you've just written something (too) simple , well, I assume you don't even need a Beta that much for you can do it all alone. |
