First and foremost, I'm a reader. I like to read novels, short-stories, whatever, and I will probably read your story as if it were the next book I pick up at the library (with a little more attention to detail of course). As a beta, I tend to finish quickly, but I would prefer at least two weeks notice before you *must* have it read, just so that I'm sure I can fit it in. I also expect that the writer has gone over the manuscript for typos already. If I'm correcting a word per sentence, then I will probably send it back to you with instructions to fix the typos before I will read it (though if you tell me beforehand that you're helpless with spelling, then I will probably finish it). Also, when you send a request, please let me know what sort of things you're looking for help with (for example plot or grammar). I am straight-foward, and if something sucks, I'll probably tell you so, but nicely and with suggestions on how to fix it. I believe almost every story is worth telling and reading, so if it is at all possible, I will try to fix it.

I'm pretty good at nit-picky stuff like spelling and grammar (though don't ask me about commas) and finding information that could/should fill out a story.

Don't ask me about commas.

I prefer fantasy and romance, but I can do anything besides horror.

I'd rather not beta slash stories, just because I'm afraid I'll be predisposed to dislike them, and you deserve better than that. I would also rather not read anything rated above T.
