Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
To get it off right off the bat, I'm a stickler for all types of grammar. I notice the most minute mistakes and I will let you know if I see something wrong.
I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to characters unless there is a flaw that is not corrected somewhere in the story.
Remember, the theme of the story is what makes the story what it is. If the theme is not sending a clear message, odds are, it's not a very good story. So, be clear, be descriptive, and always gramatically correct so you don't appear as an idiot (for lack of a better word). And, to finsih it off, honestly, you (all by yourself) could find a lot of gramatical errors if you would just read it over and over again. Write a few lines and then read over and keep repeating that process. It works! |

I am, again, good when it comes to grammar and themes. I've been asked by many a people to help them with such things, so... don't be afraid to ask. It wouldn't be the first time. |

I'm not any good when it comes to comedy. I mean, I LOVE comedy because I love to laugh, but... I am really bad at correcting it. But, if you honestly feel the need to ask me, I won't turn you down. |
Preferred: types of entries I prefer over others
I enjoy a good mystery, romance, or action story (odd combo, I know). I have plenty of experience with all three, but... I'm open-minded and will accept all categories. |
Would Rather Not: types of entries I do not want to beta for
I don't do sex of any kind. References and scenes are unacceptable to me. Also, no slash. Sorry, but, if you can't comply to just this... I can't help you.
And if at all possible, try to keep the swearing and junk to a minimum. :) |
