I'd like to think that I'd be a good beta reader. I have had a handful of friends refer me to other friends to read, review, and edit works, and they all seemed to like my work. As for the actual beta reading, I can either just make my changes and send the edited story back or I can talk to you as I go to make sure nothing important gets changed. The only expectations I have are for you to please run the document through a spell check program prior to sending it to me. I don't mind fixing typos or homophone confusion, but I'm not here to be a dictionary.

I'm good with catching spelling errors, punctuation errors, and missing words. I can tell where more or less description is needed in prose. My grammar skills are not completely flawless, but they are at least above average.

I'm not particularly good at catching plot discrepancies in longer works. Also, as stated in the strengths section, my grammar skills are definitely not perfect.

Obviously, if one looks at my writing profile, zie can see that I adore femmeslash romance over just about everything. However, I also quite enjoy fantasy, science fiction, medieval-based fiction, and post-apocalyptic fiction. Particularly with some romance thrown in there.

I don't care much for slash or het, but that's mainly because I see that all over everywhere on the internet. There are doubtlessly plenty of slash/het betas out there, but I am not one of them. I also really wouldn't like to edit your hardcore smut story, but I will... conditionally.br /

Finally, I can't even write poetry, so please do not ask me to edit your poems because I will have to decline. Trust me. It's for your own good.
