My style is very forward and open. If I don't like something, I'll tell you. However, I see good things in all stories. I tend to like stories with less dialogue, realistic characters, and an on-going plot--don't we all? As a side note, I hate but realize the necessity of a deus ex machina in a story and would prefer writers to avoid it and other traps such as limited vocabulary and paper-thin characters (in a personality sense). My only expectations for writers is that they do their best. Although I do prefer that stories are sent and expected to be corrected by me at reasonable times.

I do well enough with grammar, figurative language, description, and plot.

I have a hard time reading through anything that doesn't capture my attention within two chapters. I also have some small problems with foreshadowing. Other than that, I sometimes have trouble with words I don't completely understand. That's where I befriend my dictionary and thesaurus.

I'll try to read mostly anything. I would especially like to beta mythology, general, thriller, suspense, mystery, and all forms of poetry. This won't stop me from other genres though.

I don't do very well with very over-the-top or deeply romantic stories, mainly when the writer doesn't show them in a realistic light. I'll criticise you more than I'll help you with those things. If people could write romance half as well as other types of stories, I'd love them just as much.
