I'm fairly new to the whole beta reading thing, but my friends in my English class say that I'm really good at editing. I am however a veteran writer, that just means I write a lot. I beta read fiction because I'm not very good at poetry. As a beta reader, I tend to look at detail, storyline, plot, spelling, and grammer. Normally, if you choose me, I'll read a chapter, talk to you about it and then read the next one. When I'm looking for a beta reader, I need a beta reader to look at details in the text. I need soneone that is kind, yet fair. Someone who is willing to make compromises and talk things over. To be picked by me, you must meet the requirements above and must be able to look over text with a keen eye and have an eye for spelling, grammer, and detail.

Details, Storyline, Plot, some spelling and some grammer are my strengths as a bets reader. As a writer, they are, good plots (or so people tell me), storylines, well written text and that's about it.

As a beta reader, it's skimming the text, but I can overcome that by skimming and then really going through it. As a writer, it's writer's block. I get and idea and write like crazy, but then I hit a wall and don't have any ideas.

I prefer to beta anything that is listed under the romance genre. I also prefer adveture, drama, family, fantasy, and friendship. The others, aside from the ones below, I don't mind.

Parodies, Sci-fi, and Western are all the genres that I don't care to read.
