I can only watch the news for so long until political opinions formulate in my mind. Unexpressed ideas accomplish nothing, so I jotted them down in the form of terse poetry. With your coffee cup handy, pick up my paper to see whether or not you agree.

It's a political commentary about the futility of war, the government's flippant, cavalier attitude towards civilian life, the replacements for every fallen soldier always waiting in the wings, and the irony of it all.
