Werecat99 8/25/03 . chapter 1To start with, I just love the title. It's one of those phrases that stick with you until after you have read the story. From your quote: Nice fellow that Turnlong guy. For some reason, he reminded me of the Spanish Inquisition... The account of the young girl's death moved me deeply. It was painful, but then again, so is war. Elfworld War? Now, that would certainly be interesting... Dorren's way of handling things was indeed fascinating. Cruel, yes, but fascinating anyway. Of course, I like the bloody and gory details of things. Is he land Elwen, by the way? I don't think I've seen this kind of magic anywhere else. One thing I don't understand concerning the War of Acceptance. I know a few things about Elwens now, about their magic and their extended life span. But what about humans? Do they possess any kind of magic or anything that would give them any advantage against Elwens, if not, going to war against them would seem rather foolish and doomed. Which is, of course, the human way... |
