Very detailed, and overall a very impressive plan for your universe. Just out of curiosity, did you get the Xel Naga name from Starcraft? Sounds familiar, but I don't remember if that is the name they used there. Anyway, a couple of thoughts...
are the transforming mech/fighter units you're employing going to be the main force? I would think that, from most of what I know of the attitudes of fighter pilots, that they would just as soon shoot themselves in the foot, as be on the ground, even in armor (yes, I know an ex-lunatic, er, make that pilot). I don't know, and obviously, its your universe, so I'll be shutting up now. Anyway, I'm going to be reading some more of your original meanderings, as soon as I get the time. Very well written overview.

WOW, this is VERY VERY interesting!!
It sounds as if you were there during that time and knew about all that was there. It is so beleivable. I wouldn't be surprised if these things really exist!
