| ~Devushka_Kota~ 2004-07-31 ch 1, | Interesting fic... I was reading the ending and thought about the thing about supposing that Hitler did win WWII I was thinking about that possibility and thought up one reason why he didn't: Because Stalin was siding with the Allies. With Stalin on the Allies side, that mean the entire Soviet Union was ALSO on the Allies side too. Also, the Russians held onto Stalingrad when the Germans attacked and that was probably the turning point of WWII (I think that was partly because of fear that Stalin would have them shot if they retreated. "In the Soviet Army it takes more courage to retreat than advance" ~Josef Stalin.~). So generally, I don't think Hitler had any chance of winning WWII. Still, it's an interesting fic. ~Devushka_Kota.~ |
| amazingblazes 2004-06-05 ch 2, | Wow...this was powerful...both chapters. I was sort of ashamed reading this, I am blonde haired and blue eyed, but I can see where you're coming from. Definately an eye opener...glad I stumbled across you... |
| British Dragon 2004-02-16 ch 2, | not bad tal not bad at all |
| phooey 2004-02-16 ch 2, | Interesting story. I am also fascinated by the idea of parallel universes and whatnot, though I highly doubt that even in a universe where Hitler managed to conquer the world Germans/Aryans(as you defined them) would be able to control the planet for that long. Like you mentioned, "...freedom can and MUST triumph..." Also there is not an empire that has not fallen eventually.(i.e. Rome, Mongol) There -would- be people in other countries resisting as well, you know. But that's a minor detail, and as your story begins with that assumption, I'll leave it at that. If your story has any faults, it's the typos- use a word processor. :-) Um. Oh yes, the parallel universes. It would be funny(well, not really) if your story was true- or close to the truth. The theory of multiverses is actually beginning to be acknowledged by people other than sci-fi writers. Imagine if at every single choice we had to make, every crossroads(even something trivial like, "Will I have chocolate or will I abstain?") the universe split in two. That would mean there is another universe (almost exactly like ours) where I am an extremely obsese kid who would never ever turn down a piece of chocolate. Hmm. I may talking a bit confusedly about some things, mixing different facts all different sources. I'll stop now, but: Continue with your story please! |
| NachoManLance 2004-02-15 ch 2, | I remember reading this story a long while back, and I've kept wanting to read it although I pretty much lost time and/or the link. But I can't help thinking, what if this was really happening? I can definetly say that your version is by far the best I've seen and heard of compared to what textbooks would say... And just in case you need more bad guys on your list, you can add an older version of me in. My last name being Waymire, it's from Germany. Just a suggestion though. I hope to read more! |
| Lucy-chan 2004-02-15 ch 2, | Disturbing... *hides under her bed at the idea of Emerin/Jikei* ~Lucia |
| Super Hurricane 2004-02-14 ch 1, | (nods) Very good, Talon. I am quite pleased with this story, and agree with the logic of what would have been. It disgusts me how those "Aryan" fools would be so narrow minded. Viva la resistance! Turn this into a war series, Talon, and show the world how powerful your mind's eye really is. |
| Aducknamedjoe 2002-11-30 ch 1, | I enjoyed this story, it appeared well thought out and was obviously written very well. Although I don't agree with a few of the assumptions you made about how the world would have been affected in this alternate 2002, I would still love to see this as a series, or even a novella. |
| MagicianXV 2002-10-29 ch 1, | Woooo...and here I was, looking for something fluffy to read while I ate my Cheerios. Great stuff, in any case--you've got some excellent imagery going on, especially with the idea of the Aryan city being built right over top of the destroyed one. Also, very impressive characterization considering how short the story was. The author's notes were also quite intruguing, which is a rare case. All in all, excellent work. |
| Tori Yuki Ichimura 2002-10-20 ch 1, | o___o Scary thoughts... Everyone's but Quatre would be dead. Well... I guess Quat would be dead too. **! EVERYONE I know would be dead. INCLUDING ME. -___- Have you ever read 'Adolf'? It's a "what if" WW2 story. Gave me nightmares... *sweatdrop* |
| starphoenix23 2002-10-18 ch 1, | Interesting. I liked your strategy analysis (I agree that Hitler's tactics were stupid. Especially declaring war on Russia and opening a second front. if he had not done that, and kept his nonagression pact with Stalin, he might have won the war. 'Scary' is an understatement.) I also agree with your point about Star Trek--such a society IS something we should strive for. |
| Emerin 2002-10-18 ch 1, | Okay, some things I forgot to say but wanted to the FIRST time I reviewed on this. This fic provoked the inspiration fairy into whonking me n the head with her mallet, so I've already drawn two illustrations for it. ^^' Also, have you ever read "Shade's Children" by Garth Nix? This reminds me alot of that. (Not accusing you of copying!) If you haven't I suggest you do. I just read it for the second time about a week ago. ^^' |
| Em 2002-10-17 ch 1, | Wow thougr poroving is what I can say about this most people shy away from these types of what if's but the thing is it COULD have happened but I don't think many poeple resles this fact. I think you should carry on with this Talonit's good and it would be intersanting ( for me at any rate) to see how this could go ( I think I've got that right.) Bai and sorry for any spelling mistakes never my strong ponit Em (Rona) |
| You've Been Kooshed 2002-10-16 ch 1, | Wow. That was a major Stop-And-Think type of thing..... Had twangs in my gut the whole time I was reading this. My last name is German, so some guys at school keep calling me a Nazi. What you said is true. I'd rather die opposing something like that instead of going along with it. And no, I'm not offended, so don't worry. ^_^ I definitely think you should continue this, it's pretty gripping. |
| Iruka-Yuywell 2002-10-16 ch 1, | wow! (sigh) really makes you think...where would we be. this isn't the first time I've pondered this very question. being a blonde, blue eyed white girl of some german desent...well I have wondered before is all. thanks Talon :) |
