| Kaylin 2008-01-28 ch 6, | I read your story in one sitting. This may not seem like much to you, but I've currently been questioning whether I had ADD, and... You got me to READ, for hours straight, which I had not done in a while. Thank you for that. I stumbled upon your art while searching my name on FictionPress. Because your story I found had the most words, I blindly selected it and began reading... and found myself helplessly enthralled. First of all, it's beautiful. The sentences have perfect structure and flow and your characters have depth... It's all very preofessional. The whole tone of the story just screams that you know what you're doing, that there is no way that you should be inexperienced at this. It was all very detailed, the kind of story that makes me want to sit down and read a science book to try and level up to science fiction such as this. I keep thinking, "If only I could write like that!" You really are insiraptional to me. Have you read Elizabeth Moon's "The Deed Of Paksenarrion"? The tone of your writing utterly reminded me of the big, exciting book--whether it was just the military type aspects of it, or the tough heroine I'm not sure, but it's there, somehwere. Or maybe I'm just trying to find some readings that I have in common with you. It's always nice to find things in common. But now I'm getting off track. Now, this is the longest reveiw I've ever written, so i'm sorry about that. If you even read this far. But I... You know, Loneliness in Space isn't one of those stories that I get completely obsessed with. It's not one of those stories that I just CANNOT wait to find out what happens next in. Instead, it's... comfortable. Your art is the kind that I am not pressured to get done right away, but can come home from a stressful day, crash onto the couch with, and just read to relax my nerves. To find out more about the intricate lives of these people that you've created and shared. Those are the kinds of stories I like best. I'm not sure if you'll be coming back to read my reveiw. Or if you even do read my review, you'll think anything more of it than sum crazy fanatic rambling away about this or that. But it makes me feel good just writing this, just knowing that I committed some part of myself to the benefit of this extravagent, fascinating, admirizing piece of art. Thanks for writing this. Okay, I promise that this is my last paragraph. I just wanted to say that I know what it's like to lose interest in a story that I once was head over heels for, how that constant, vicious urge to write fades over time. Or mayeb your just really, really busy, and I can undterstand that, too. Or maybe I'm totally wrong and am just guessing hopelessly, but that's okay. I just want you to know that I would love it if you continued, if you found it in your heart to just give me a little hint at what might come of Kaylin's life...? And if not, then just keep writing. Post anything and everything on FictionPress, or email it to me, or MAIL it to me, for pete's sake, but.. something? Okay, now I'm sounding a bit-stalker-ish. No pressure, Covarla, no pressure. But thanks for sharing your story. ANd if you read all this, then thanks again. |
| Erisah Mae 2007-12-10 ch 6, | It's a terrible shame that you never finished this- I found it very entertaining, and my interest had been snatched as far as what Kaylin and Draythem's relationship was turning into... then nothing more. Oh well. What's here is certainly worthy of a Favourites notation. Nice work. Erisah |
| Erisah Mae 2007-12-10 ch 4, | Wow, this is really good- the juxtaposition of Vince the Vindictive with Draythem and Galliard makes for an interesting range of male characters, and the dynamics of the captured ship's crew and the conquerers is very well done. Nice- definitely going to continue with this one. Erisah |
| Amused Bookworm 2004-08-13 ch 6, | I really like this story. I know it has been six months since you updated it, so I have no idea if it will be updated but if it gets updated I will be reading it. Wonderful writing. -A.B. |
