All right! You've updated finally! I was waiting forever! This chapter is pretty well-written, with a sense of desperation and need throughout the chapter. Very nice.

I especially love how you describe the planet. It give me this feeling of arid, hot barren place with severe climate, which, to some extend, has made me feel sorry for the two deserted characters.
