Whew. I can't say I understand it completely. But your title and summary drew me in, captivating really, and the rest of it, as they say, is history. Well, perhaps a little less dramatic. But this was truly very good, and I was caught, hooked in, from the very first line. Beautiful, beautiful writing. And your characters - my God, can you say well-developed? Maybe I have no idea what's really going on in their minds, and it took me a while to figure out that this was a slightly "different" world than the modern one I'm used to, but I'm definitely intrigued and I -want- to know more, learn their pasts.

And still, what a great title. I'm definitely following over to your website.
