I've thought about taking over the world, and I'm neither posh nor White. Good essay. All too true, but at least one movie is trying to rememdy the "no female supervillain" part. "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle has Demi Moore playing the bad guy (girl, whatever).

Your points are all great and so sadly true. Although some evil overlords are pretty it is sadly true that most are unaesthetically pleasing in the extreme and moreover they do little to make more of themselves in girly magazine stylee. Perhaps theres a gap in the market for EvilOverlordStyle magazine. With makeovers and fashion (beige all over is so last season . . .) but obviously not decorating as this is already sussed.

For some reason this review box is making my sentences stretch off into infinity, but I shall persevere regardless.

We need more female supervillains! Who haven't slept their way to the top. Or gay supervillains or indeed any thing less terminally uninteresting than straight white posh men who had bad experiences in their childhoods.

And where do they get such fabulous staff?

Just one last point, although I love your writing style and I'm not really a picky speller there is one point when you say "if he is shrew" rather than "if he is shrewd". Although I personally like the idea of rodent evil super villains and feel it should be encouraged whenever possible, I'm not sure that's what you meant . . . Otherwise your argument is both complete and convincing
