this is a great piece, I love the symbolism of crossing the bridge and the way you refer to the Japanese gardens . you learn something new every day!
The ending's good as well, it doesn't all get wrapped up and you leave it open for the reader to wonder what will happen - which is good, plus it's a hopeful ending, which I always like!
