I'm impressed that you were able to write in such a complicated format about a topic thats not usually considered poetic. :)

I really liked the last stanza.

~~ All fans of the great Princess Mulan should visit the following site on information to discover her whereabouts: w.helpfindprincessmulan.0catch.com. So far poems dedicated to the Haiku mistress are being accepted at the site. The e-mail address is there if you wish to do so. Thank you. ~~

I was against the war and I didn't want it fought, but this is an excellent poem and I agree that people shouldn't jump to conclusions.

really liked what you did ending every line with one of the six 'chosen words,' it was very effective. my favorite part is the last stanza, especially the "we are all humans, not liars or beasts," line. again, nice work.

Pretty good for a first attepmt. "Observations" was my first attempt at a sonnet so I can relate. Keep up your simply AMAZING work!

This is a bit lengthy, but no, its not stupid to write about this, dont be silly. It bugged me too.

I like it. I've never done a successful sestina. Go pacifists! I don't think Iraqis are beasts either; nor are we (Americans) liars. About this war.. we shall see.. so far, too quick to be true.

i've never heard of a sestina before, i'm assuming it had to do with all the underlined words. anyway, i like it alot and agree that they shouldn't broadcast all that junk on tv!!

*nods* Throughout this conflict we are going to see several people generalizing and sterotyping groups of people. This shows how ignorant many people are. It's sad that stuff like this gets high ratings for the news stations.

Don't worry about this getting to you. Stuff like this bugs people who are just. I agree that the news needs to show how bad wars really are. Otherwise, our future generations will repeat our mistakes. We need to ignore nations and races and see each other as fellow human beings. If we can't set aside our differences we will forever be divided.

Another nicely written. good job on it. Very despcriptive and deep. I agree with ya, there should be no war and they shouldn't be showing us those senseless things on news. It's not right that countries call each other names. It only brings more war and more conflict.
Anyway, I liked this one. =P

Very good insight into the war in iraq. I never saw it that way. Keep writing.

I think this is wonderful! Though, you didn't have to underline the words... most of us would have gotten it without! Don't take that as being critical, I'm not! I really did enjoy this piece! Thanks for sharing!

(And thanks for reviewing my stuff!)

This was really, really moving. i agree. The media is not helping this situation at all. I mean, why not show footage of a teenager in the U.S. who thikns Iraqis are just people or someone from Iraq saying not to stereotype their people. My God this war ** me off.

Other than that, I enjoyed the longer format. Really. You should write like this more often.
