Wow, interesting. I was in scouts before, but I didn’t like it either. It’s a bit too much uniformity.

OMG! I know how that is for I'm a girl scout too. What is it with everything for the little girls and scraps for the older ones. It's unfair and wrong! I'm a juvenile staff member and I'm always in camps all around the island where I live and I know what it is to listen to bad counselors telling such things to the little girls. There was this one time I actually stepped in and stood for a daisy gs just new into the troop becouse another counselor was yelling ast her becouse she was being a little girl (hyper), I was removed from the camp becouse I "accosted the counselor". Anyhows I hate camp food it's nasty and yucky. Nice essay and sorry for the rant. I ask of you to please check out my poetry and review it please you seem like a person who appreciates the degenerated art. ^^ no offense! Thanks and luck with the council.

I haven't really been in GS (cept for 2 years) but I think you make excellent points, especially about the songs. : )

I agree completely on your fifth point. Our troop doesn't go on many of the more fun trips because by the time it gets around to us everyone else has already filled it up or we have to go along with our leader's younger troop and don't have the freedoms that they promised us back three years ago.

Okay, from one Girl Scout to another, major brownie points to you for having the nerve to say all the things about Girl Scouting that really bugged me before. I've been with the program for 12 years in two different councils. Before I moved we didn't give a care about whether something was PC or not, but after we moved it was like we couldn't do that anymore because of the society. So, I really understood that part of your essay.
