this is really good, i like how you have captured the emotions of the pilot, no long fancy words are used, its straight to the point.

i loved it... and it did have a sort of rhythm... my story's set in world war II as well... -lol-

As someone who is thoroughly engulfed with both an admiration for soldiers of past wars and a strange attraction yet hatred for the circumstances that brought them about I loved this. I couldn't tell you about how much imagination I have wrapped around the concepts of soldiering and my own writing stories about something I won't experience. But this was simply fantastic.

That was really good! I like the whole 'methodical' rythem of it. Oh, and can you do me the favour of checking out my story? It's also set in WW2, but in Germany, and it's about a group of teenage resistance fighters (who actually existed. Though I made up the characters, the organisation existed. They were almost all killed or put in concentration camps, poor things). Please check it out, it's called 'Pirates of the Edelweiss'. Sorry for the somewhat shameless self-advertisment. I really do like your fic.

What a story! *claps* Although I wasn't born in the era, your fiction made me feel right at home. The surprise ending was good, but the one sentence that really sticks out in my mind is "Now that he has aged a hundred years in one summer the sound freezes his blood and he must force his legs to carry him in a direction they do not wish to go."
