I pictured the speaker as female too. I think it was because you're a girl and it's first person (even though I've written in first person from a guy's point of view as well).
Anyways, very haunting and dare I say disturbing? But in a good way. I like it.

Definitely haunting...the reader ends up wondering if the speaker were ever really sane in the first place. For some reason, the first time I read it I thought the speaker was female, even with the two male roommates. I don't know why, perhaps because it reminded me of Lyce. Was it taking place in the States? Anyway, great work, again ^_^
