I thought the writing was good. I'm not a real big fan of romance (the reason I've never reviewed your Wonder Woman and Catwoman stories over at ff.net where my apathy stems from the genre rather than your writing) but I found this first chapter readable enough although there's no real hook to drag the reader back for subsequent chapters (should you ever get round to producing them). Not sure about the heroine's name either - it just doesn't sound realistic to me (although I'm not sure if that's the effect you're going for).
