Did you know that adding '-ella' to a name in Latin makes it mean 'little'? So Cinderella (hint, hint) means "Little Cinder". Interesting.

'Tis good, Meemoo! Two little nitpicky points that you are free to ignore as they have nothing to do with the writing whatsoever- a 14 carat diamond would be way, way to big to wear as a stud, and diamonds are measured in in "carats"- "karats" are measures of the purity of gold.

Also a little trite in places, but not overly, and the double "confused" could be changed to a synonym or ommited completely for the better.

i'm thinking cinderella. it's pretty good. add a bit more life though. you're telling events and telling how she felt from those events. but that's it. had her father's death changed her at all? how did the sisters treat her? give details, give examples, give it some UMPH! hehe, good start!
