This is a very interesting and well written story. I really enjoyed it!

Very interesting. Needs to be a little longer, though. Does the duke give up? Does he pursue them (well, Laures at least). What is Laures; a demon or something else (although obviously a vampire of some sort).

This is a nice scene that could be turned into a very good novel.

I was drawn into it almost right away, it's very good! Very active and it certainly moves.

My only critique (since I'm just starting myself, and fighting with the same problem!) is that it seems your point of view keeps jumping around, in Janis' head, in Laures' head, in no one's head. It makes it a little hard to keep track.

I can't wait to read more. :)
