Don't hate me for this comment Jedzi-sama, but you can really notice the difference between writing your own stuff and writing a fanfic. ^^; It's probably because you _know_ how your characters will react.
It would be helpful if we knew what Joanie looked like, it's a little hard to make up an image of what she looks like with very little description on her, but other than those little things, The story is very interesting, and I can't wait to read more. ^_^
