Haunting? Really? I think it's very simple, actually. One thing that I absolutely cannot stand is a break in sentence that doesn't sound natural. Please work on it.
OO, that gave me the chills. Very creepy, but wonderfully written. Have you seen "Insomnia"? It reminds me of the poem that the guy says... I liked this alot. very dark and all around cool. ;)
