While I doubt that the reviewer under me is that unskilled with words, I agree that this is very good. And don't worry, we all get maudlin. But hey, at least you write well when maudlin! only thing I can suggest is formatting checks, as many as you feel comfortable with. I'm still screwing with that on my stories.
