Not all poetry needs to rhyme and for the topic you chose here I think its better not to. Reading this actually angered me because as we all know this happens often, powerful, and again, true to life (wow I do like to use comas :) well done.

Wow. This is a really good piece. A harsh traumatic scene portrayed through a fluid and dramatic poem. Nice! Thumbs up!
